What is the Scoreboard Image feature

This article shows how to capture and display a picture of the scoreboard for each play

Video Tutorial

Overview of Scoreboard Image

The Scoreboard Image feature lets teams capture a photo of the scoreboard for each play. These images add visual context and appear in two ways: always as thumbnails in the playlist view, and optionally as an overlay in the bottom-left corner of videos during playback.

Capturing Scoreboard Images

Scoreboard images are captured using the remote control screen on an iPad. The image capture function uses the iPad's local camera. The image capture operates independently from remote camera recordings. The operator can photograph the scoreboard while the remote camera kits continue recording video. The captured image automatically associates with the current play's data.

Tip: Position the iPad for a clear view of the scoreboard before starting the event to streamline the capture process during plays.

  1. On the Remote Control screen open the camera using the photo icon
  2. Zoom to frame the scoreboard in the camera viewer
  3. Use the camera icon to take a photo

Viewing Scoreboard Images

Once captured, scoreboard images are displayed on the playlist asV the primary thumbnail for the play. The video player also includes a toggle to show or hide the scoreboard image overlay. When enabled, the scoreboard image displays in the bottom left corner of the video.

  1. On the Video Player open the three dots at the bottom right to show or hide the scoreboard

Technical requirements

To use the Scoreboard Image feature is available on the SkyCoach iOS app version 18.1 or later. The feature requires camera permissions on the iPad.
