How to Test a Kit

Steps to properly test a kit before getting it ready for shipping.

There are 3 indicators to know that there is a kit is ready to be tested.

  1. Kits in front of the Baker's rack (likely with RCKs on top of it) are in line to be tested.

  2. Also, they will be green on the customer kit sheet and a light purple cell to indicate it has been taped down.

  3. There will also be a hardware ticket in Ready To Ship (new subscription) or Ready To Ship Parts (replacement) 

Next, you will take the hostbox and Pressbox RCKs will power on the main desk

Endzone will power on left desk

Sideline(s) will power on the right desk/floor 

Power each station and connect RCKs

in the hostbox, check for these things:

  • power and port christmas lights
    • the host should have a red power light inside and ethernet port lights green and yellow
    • the router should havea blue power light and ethernet port lights
    • the POE injector(s) will have a white ppwer light
  • connections
    • check all ethernet connections are tight and it clicks
    • check wire links against the diagram
  • labels
    • round antennas should have four labels and correct stickers
    • mesh antenna should have four labels
    • ethernets should have Antenna Only/RCK only labels
    • router and router powerlabels
    • host and host power labels
    • injector labels
    • toolbox labels
  • check for lock lights
  • connect iPad to router with an ethernet adapter (WiFi OFF)
  • Login to all antennas in Safari using IP address from the diagram and the antenna password on the company page
  • unplug station and check that login page disconnects and a warning message appears
    • this is to make sure the antennas were not swapped/correct one disconnected
  • now disconnect iPad from router (remove ethernet adapter from iPad)
  • impersonate user
    • have t be on work wifi and in cloud mode in the SKyCOach app
    • go to profile > impersonate > search school name
    • go to client mode and join the SkyCoach wifi
      • ALways do CoachBox wifi first, then sideline, then review wifi. 
      • Forget netwrok when switching wifi networks
  • check ticker tape and create evet
  • join event on all devices (RCKs)
  • run test clips from each device (use moving image)
  • make sure its playable on iPad
  • run test clips for each Wifi
  • DELETE the test event
  • put back in cloud mode and swipe app closed on all devices

 

check for these things on the RCK

  • on the check mark screen check for these:
    • team ID
    • camera angle
    • IP
    • version number
  • check for these settings:
    • pull down from the top and ensure wifi and bluettoth are off
    • hold down on app icon and open the APp Info
    • scroll down to advanced
    • allow unknown apps
  • use square to swipe apps closed
