      How can I tune network performance?

      Checking antenna throughput and recording test clips after setting up can help prevent performance issues before they occur.

      Verify Bridge Antenna Throughput

      Login to each antenna bridge and verify throughput starting with the Red and Black bridge

      You must be connected to the SkyCoach network to proceed.

      Either connect to SC-WiFi antenna or connected via ethernet adapter.

      1. Open a browser like Safari or Chrome on an iPad connected to the SkyCoach networksafari icon-1
      2. Navigate to the the url 192.168.88.2. Put this in the address bar not the search box. 
        Hold down on the address bar to add this page to your bookmarks.

      3. You will receive a warning, choose advanced/show details and visit this website/proceed anyway depending on what language your browser uses.

      4. Login with USERNAME: SC-read and PASSWORD: Tuneup318!

      5. Verify the throughput capacity for the local and remote antenna is close to 130Mbps. If it is less than 120Mbps, adjust your red and black stickered antennas until it is above 120Mbps.

      If you have other antenna bridges, repeat the steps above for them

      Red and Black bridge url 192.168.88.2

      Record Test Clips and Verify Download Speeds At Each Location

      Short clips will almost always download fast and will not be a good indicator of performance. To determine how well the network is performing, test with longer than normal video lengths.

      1. Record a 45 second clip
      2. On the sideline connect an iPad to the sideline WiFi
      3. Open the event and time the download speed of the test clip
      4. A 45 second recording should download in less than 10 seconds and never take more than 15 seconds.
      5. Repeat for all locations that have an antenna broadcasting SC-Location-XXXXX WiFi making sure you are beside the antenna you are connected to.

      If you make adjustments to the antennas and want to test again without recording more clips, navigate to the SkyCoach menu->settings->status->info scroll to the bottom and select clear video downloads. When you go back to the event, it will start downloading again.
