This article lists the items to check before a game to eliminate potential issues
Pregame Checklist
Verify equipment setup
- Verify the router and host have lights
- Check that antennas with the same color stickers on the front are pointing directly at each other
- Ensure stickered antennas that point at each other have their signal strength lights
- Confirm there are no obstructions between the stickered antennas, such as window dividers or goal posts
Ensure that the equipment status is verified before the game kicks off to prevent any potential last-minute hiccups
Antenna performance
- Login to the bridge antennas to verify speeds are not impacted by alignment or obstacles. See Performance Tuning for instructions
- Ensure that the viewing devices are connected to the antennas that are close to them, with no obstructions between them
It is crucial to have all antennas aligned correctly and free from obstructions to ensure optimal performance
- On one of the iPads, go to SkyCoach menu -> Settings -> Status -> Devices
- Check if you see all the devices you were expecting
- If devices use WiFi, verify that they are connected to the WiFi network they are closest to
- Ensure that the devices are in the correct event
Prior to the start of the second half, it is recommended to recheck the status of the devices as outlined in the previous step
Shared Systems
- Delete old events
- While connected to the SkyCoach Network, open old event, click edit icon in the bottom left, and delete.
