What are the keys to success for a SkyCoach event?
Some of the things that can have a big impact on the SkyCoach experience
- Position the antennas with stickers in a location where there are no barriers such as walls, windowsills, window dividers, or fences that could block or partially block their signal.
- Make sure that your viewing devices are connected to the Wi-Fi network that is closest to them. For example, sideline devices should be connected to SC-Sideline-XXXXX.
- Consider labeling your devices “Sideline” or “Press box” to ensure they stay connected to the proper network during every event.
- If you must move your device between networks, you should “forget” the previous network on your device to prevent it from switching without your knowledge.
- All viewing devices should be turned on, connected to the SkyCoach network, and in the event, prior to recording any plays in an event. NEVER add a device to the network in the middle of an event.
- DO NOT close the SkyCoach app or lock the device during an event. Doing so will result in slow performance on the entire network when the device is turned back on.
- On your device, make sure Location Services is turned on and SkyCoach has access to Location Services while using. Also, make sure the Local Network setting is on for SkyCoach.
- Shorter recordings means smaller files and faster downloads. If you start recording and realize they are not about to snap the ball anytime soon. Stop the recording and start another when it is closer to time to snap the ball.
- Perform a Pregame Checklist before the game and before the second half
- Tune the performance of the network before the game
